Natural Beginnings is located at Riverscape Properties, in a townhouse, right next to the Fremont Bridge, in NW Downtown Portland. We spend plenty of time outside in the community yards and gardens as well as on the boardwalk. We go for daily nature walks along the private Willamette River boardwalk to look for geese, cormorants, ducks, wrens, finches, hummingbirds, osprey, falcons, beaver, river otters, sea lions, jumping salmon, snakes, ants, ladybugs and more. It is amazing how much wildlife lives right in the heart of downtown Portland!
We take field trips to places such as: Sauvie Island, Oregon Zoo, OMSI, Portland Aquarium, Playdate PDX, Cool Moon Ice Cream, Pumpkin Patches, etc.
We also often take excursions to nearby parks and the library.
